Spring-dkb studio
Spring is my favorite season. It has always felt like a time of renewal and hope for new beginnings!
As the seasons shift, color begins to appear stronger throughout my work. I’ve really tried to push myself in my upcoming Series, “By The Way It Feels”, which will be released in April. It is full of depth and movement, and resembles gem like tones. Painting is such a process of discovery for me. I’ve recently made a very conscious effort to slow my motions while painting and really bask in the moment; watching the paint as it pools and then soaks into the surface building beautiful hues of color. As I continue to allow myself this freedom of experimentation, by pouring, marking and layering materials, I move forward in finding my own unique visual language which feels amazing!
