Connection & Process
“I am learning every day to allow the space between where I am & where I want to be to inspire me.”
To have a real connection with the viewer, as well as the love of the process, this is why I continue to return over and over to my art practice! I had no idea, over thirteen years ago when I began this journey, where the path might lead me. I’m not sure if we, as creators- artists, musicians, writers, designers, have any other choice but to follow that creative voice when it calls. Even on those days when I might not be feeling inspired, there is always a gentle prompting deep within that never seems to subside. The passion for the work and the longing to keep pushing forward into new territory is ever present. Being the free spirit that I am, I’m grateful that painting has become one of my greatest passions in life as it fuels some of that adventurous soul within me. I love the freedom that comes with experimentation and diving deeper into the unknown.
Recently, however, I’ve realized that it is the connection with you, the viewer, that is of the utmost importance to me. It allows me to share my voice, my heart with you in a way that I might not always be able to do with words. My work IS my voice. Painting has and continues to teach me so much on a daily basis about myself and our relationships to everything that surrounds us in our lives! I look forward to continuing the search for ways in which I can best express my voice in a unique and authentic way. I am beyond pumped to have each of you joining me at this time! Thank
